I'm not gonna make any excuses this time. I know it's been forever. I haven't even visited any of the communities that I usually haunt.

Yeah, listen to me whine! )

I know it's been nearly a month since I posted, but I do have a good excuse. Now what was it?

Oh yeah! )

Well as I said in my last post. I took my mom, my daughter and I to the doctor this morning. They both have simple sinus infections and he gave them antibiotics. Cool, good thing.

And then there is me! )

For those of you who know my medical condition this might seem rather ironic. Me being the person who has virtually no immune system and I'm taking care of a house full of sick people. First my mom, now my youngest daughter. I'm just praying the oldest avoids it. She hasn't missed a day of school yet this year.

So I have a doctors appt today to do my three month blood tests and to have him check out my legs, since I've got infection in both of them and can't seem to get it to go away, even with antibiotics, and I'm gonna take the two sick people with me and try to get them taken care of.

I seriously don't want to get sick again. But around these two I just don't see how I can avoid it. How the heck do you stay away from your sick 5 year old? You don't. She wants mommy and that's it.

On a brighter note, we got a DVR this week so now I can record all episodes of Supernatural and watch them as much as I want on my 32in tv instead of watching the downloaded version on my 19in computer screen. That's gonna be awesome, and it was such a surprise. One of the local businesses that install for our satellite provider had a couple guys in our area and they just happened to notice our satellite and stopped to see if we were all set up for the change over to digital that's coming up. Well the reciever in our family room is 9 yrs old and we knew it wouldn't work, but had been delaying due to the cost of getting them to upgrade it. But we qualified for a free upgrade and the techs even took a look at our bill and pointed out some duplicate stations that we were paying extra for so they changed it and got our bill lowered. And the new reciever has a built in DVR. That was a pleasant bonus. I've talked to these two tech guys before because they run a local computer shop, and I was very pleased with them coming by like that. Yeah I know they get a bonus for upgrading us, so technically they were making money but it's just nice to see a service like that being offered.

Well that's all for now. Off to get ready for the doctor.

Well I promised myself I wouldn't do another of these, (since it really shows how crazy mixed up my taste in music is), but I'm gonna give it a go anyway.

So, here’s how it works:
Open your music player (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, etc).
Press play.
For every question type the song that’s playing.
When you go to a new question press the next button.
All songs up for grabs.

Opening Credits: The Click Five - Angel To You (Devil To Me) (Why am I not surprised?)
Birth: Eagles - Dirty Laundry [The Millennium Concert] (I don't rember any scandal about my birth, but who really knows?)
Waking Up: Eisley - Go Away (How ironic. Yep that's me all right)
Working song: Lonestar - I'm Already There (So very appropriate for anyone who has to work away from their family, but I don't.)
Falling in Love: Mariah Carey - Dreamlover (Now if only it could really be like this)
Sex: Chris Ledoux ft Jon Bon Jovi - Bang A Drum (Well it does mention sinners and that I surely am.)
Lusting: 10 Years - So Long, Good-bye (Well this would fit most of the people I've lusted after)
Cooking Dinner: Creedence Clearwater Revival - Walk on the Water (Totally unrelated to the topic)
Walk in the Park: Boxcar Racer - There Is (Ha, wouldn't the last song have worked so much better?)
Working out at the gym: The Calling - London Calling (live) (This is definately not a workout song)
Fight scene: Ozzy Osborn - Bark At the Moon (Isn't Ozzy perfect for a fight song?)
Breaking up: NSYNC - Bye Bye Bye (I couldn't have planned that one better if I tried)
Secret Love: All That Remains - Vicious Betrayal (That would be my luck)
Life’s okay: Robbie Williams - Good Doctor (If I did drugs like this song implied life would be all good)
Mental breakdown: Shania Twain - I'm Gonna Getcha Good! (Can we say STALKER!)
Partying: Eagles - Take It To The Limit (I think I heard this at a few parties, back in the 80's)
Long night alone: Ashlee Simpson - Dancing Alone (Fitting)
Final Battle: 30 Seconds To Mars - The Kill (acoustic) (Yeah, someone's gonna get the axe)
Death Scene: Pennywise - 18 Soldiers (Well it is rather harsh but we can't all go out easy)
Funeral: Nine Days - Great Divide (A love song at a funeral. Yeah, sounds like me)
Closing Credits: M2M - Sometimes (This works for me)

So where have I been and what have I been up to? Not a whole lot actually. Been sick and depressed and just an all around lump on a log. Watched alot of tv, mostly episodes of House. Yeah, I'm sick and I'm watching House. Boy can that show make you paranoid. I probably should only watch it while i'm feeling well. Oh but they did mention my type of Anemia on one episode. Now that was cool. I'm all like 'hey that's what I got', and then the patient ended up with a totally different problem. I'm sort of glad about that. I don't need to be any more paranoid than I already am.

But that's enough of that. No more griping. I did have an enjoyable day yesterday. My girls and I went to thier cousins' birthday party in the park and I think the fresh air was just what I needed. I felt really good all afternoon long. Today I'm back at home and feeling miserable. Probably allergies from yesterday but I'd do it all over again anyway. I truly love nature even if I don't get to spend enough time out in it.

Anyhow off to be a lump again.

Ugh, today is turning into a bad day. I think I'm getting the flu again.  I have no energy, I hurt everywhere, and I feel like my ears and eyes are on fire (? I don't get that one either) I can barely eat anything.

I checked my blood sugar. It's perfect. My blood's not thin so I'm not iron deficient. My skin's not turning yellow, so it's not the Hemolytic Anemia. So huh, it's gotta just be the good old fashioned flu. Well, or I'm dehydrated again, which is a side effect of the Anemia. Okay, so maybe.

I think I'll go back to bed, after I go do my cat sitting duties (I think I'm gonna hurl) I seriously need a better immune system.

I'm done being whiney and bitchy, now. Just needed some rant time.

Title: Controlling the Demon (1/?)

Author: [info]meluivan_indil

Fandom: Supernatural

Pairing: Evil!Dean/Sam

Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 3,622

Disclaimer: I only wish, but not mine. Kripke owns them along with a lot of other people who probably don’t take good care of them. I would if they were mine.

Summary: How much control will it take to get his brother back?

Notes: I started writing this before the premier of Season 4, so it does not go along with anything after that point. Post Season 3. Dean’s been gone six months. Rated for Wincest, and images of graphic violence.

Which Goddess lurks in your soul?

Hecate

You hold more power in your little finger than most do in their entire being! Hecate is perhaps the most selective of all deities who inhabit the souls of mortals. Being the goddess of the crossroads, Cosmic Knowledge, and of course witches and magic she can’t be bothered by residing in the souls of the mundane. She often chooses those who practice the craft of the old ways and those who harbor deep mystical secrets that must be kept close. Your soul is old, perhaps having been present at the birth of the cosmos in some form or another. Your ability to comprehend the necessity of death and it’s beauty have awakened a connection to the underworld, where Hecate has been known to reign and you relish this otherworldly bond. Darkness suits you well, as many of the best secrets of the cosmos can be found there.

Well a dear friend of mine introduced me to this new site call the Dragon Cave. Most people may not know this but I love dragons. I have them all over my bedroom as a matter of fact.

Anyhow Dragon Cave is just a little click generator game that starts you out with eggs and then as you get views and clicks on the eggs they hatch and become hatchlings and then grow into full grown dragons. There are lots of cool dragon pics and descritptions. It's sort of a addictive little game.

So anyhow If you'd like to see my eggs or join in the fun yourself click (here) and visit the cave. You can also see my eggs and dragons in the sidebar below my animated banners.

Well, I'm seriously back in the saddle again. I think the flu has finally left the building and I'm ready to dive back in. I'm also seriously behind on most of the fics I've been reading and on the journals that I stalk. How can I be an effective stalker if I can't keep track of those I stalk because of silly little thing like the flu. I must try not to do that again.

But that all being said, I'm off to play in the sandbox. Ta, ta, my friends.

Okay, here's how it goes.

1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me." (I won't hurt you if you say something else.)
2. I will respond by asking you 5 questions of a personal nature.
3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed you will ask them 5 questions.

[info]alovelyfixasked me:

1. One European city you'd like to visit? Venice, something about the cannals and Italian music just screams romance to me. I'm glad you said European though because if you'd said the world this question would have had two other answers too, Tokyo Japan and Sydney Australia.

2. Your favorite Christian Slater movie? (Why does this not surprise me?) And it's just about the hardest thing in the world for me to answer too. How can you pick the best when most of them are beyond awesome? And my answer changes with my mood too. He was the sweetest in Untamed Heart. He was the most rebellious in Pump Up the Volume, he was the angstiest in Robin Hood. He was the most romantic in Bed of Roses. He was the hottest in Mobsters. But honestly I think I'm going to go with the funniest, in my opinion, and say Who Is Cletus Tout. That movie always makes me laugh my ass off.

3. One fictional character, album and book you would like to be stranded on an island with? Again very hard to answer. I mean if all I'm thinking about is having awesome sex I'm gonna say Dean Winchester, and that ought to be more obvious than anyone can imagine if they know me well. But then if I'm thinking sex and wanting someone who would have enough experience to keep us alive I'd say Sawyer from Lost. And what the hell am I gonna play an album on? Okay pretending I somehow can so yep. Hmm, I could go with something that I listen to now like say Nickelback, Michelle Branch, The Pierces, Simple Plan or Smash Mouth, but honestly if I thought I'd be stranded for a very long time I'd probably want my Best of Meatloaf album. Those songs never get old for me. And a book. Oh I'm gonna get slapped for this but I can't help the horror buff in me coming out. This would have to be Stephen King's "It". I have read that book way too many times and it always sends tingles up my spine.

4. Favorite scent? I actually have a few favorite scents. Rain, fresh turned earth in a garden, lavender, jasmine, and lilies. All fresh clean nature scents.

5. The last thing you downloaded? This is actually the easiest question on here to answer. Imagine that. "Why Does it Always Rain On Me" by Travis
